Collection of general information

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and the like. This is only information that does not identify you personally. This information is technically necessary for the correct delivery of content requested by you from websites and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system via your computer and your connection to the Internet. Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies enables us to make navigation easier for you and to display our web pages correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data collected by us be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent. Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not function if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Matomo (formerly Piwik)

This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that enables cross-page recognition of the user in order to analyze user behavior (e.g. cookies or device fingerprints). The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymized before it is saved.

This analysis tool is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the anonymous analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both his website and his advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR; The consent can be withdrawn at any time.

The information collected by Matomo about the use of this website will not be passed on to third parties.

You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.

SSL encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Newsletter

When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail of circumstances relevant to the service or registration (e.g. changes in the newsletter offering or technical circumstances). For an effective registration we need a valid e-mail address. We use the “double opt-in” procedure in order to verify that a registration is actually carried out by the owner of an e-mail address. To this end, we log the order of the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the reply requested herewith. Further data will not be collected. The data will be used exclusively for the newsletter dispatch and will not be passed on to third parties. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for newsletter dispatch at any time. In every newsletter you will find a corresponding link. You can also unsubscribe directly from this website at any time or inform us of your wish via the contact details given at the end of this data protection notice.

Contact form

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased or these periods have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

In order to present our content correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and for what purposes – for the operators of such libraries to collect data. The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When Google Maps is used, Google also collects, processes and uses data relating to the use of map functions by visitors. For more information about data processing by Google, please refer to the Google Privacy Notice. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection centre. Detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Embedded YouTube videos

On some of our websites we embed Youtube videos. Operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to Youtube servers is established. This will tell Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged in to your Youtube account, Youtube can personally assign your surfing behavior to you. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account beforehand. If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies which collect information about the user behaviour.

If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to reckon with such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at “Youtube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Your rights to information, rectification, blocking, deletion and objection

You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or deleted, apart from the prescribed data storage for business transactions. Please contact our data protection officer. You will find the contact details at the bottom of this page.

In order that a block of data can be considered at any time, these data must be kept in a block file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data, unless there is a legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request. You can change or revoke your consent by notifying us accordingly with effect for the future.

Changes to our data protection regulations

We reserve the right to amend this data protection declaration from time to time so that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. Your renewed visit will then be subject to the new data protection declaration.
